Successful completion of the InspectRAIL project
In October, the final testing of the autonomous mobile robot for monitoring dangerous sections of railway lines took place on the railway line in Ljubljana. The robot was tested in a real working environment by simulating dangerous obstacles placed on the line. All tests were successfully completed.
The InspectRAIL development project, which lasted 14 months, is part of the RIMA programme to accelerate the use of robots in inspection and maintenance. All project objectives were met and the results obtained will be successfully applied to new safety applications already under development.
